Which Clif Bar Has the Most Vitamins and Minerals?

In this series, Flavors Uncovered, we will be discussing the nutritional differences of various foods and drinks. This time, which Clif Bar has the most vitamins?

 

As mentioned here, the flavor of a product almost always decides its nutrients.

This is especially true in the case of healthier, more “natural” products. That’s due to the use of actual ingredients, like blueberries instead of blueberry flavoring. Firstly, there are 20 flavors of clif bars. Three of them are seasonal:

  1. Hot Chocolate
  2. Iced Gingerbread
  3. Pumpkin Spiced Pie

 

The newest addition to the Clif Bar family is Berry Pomegranate Chia.

Now I will include the data and facts in this following table. Please feel free to skip over. Just thought some people may want to read, as I for one am not a huge advocate for taking an online stranger’s word for something without proof.

Out of the 20 flavors, I found 7 different combinations of vitamins and minerals.

 

Combination 1

  • 15% for Vitamin D
  • 20% of Calcium and Magnesium
  • And 25% for Phosphorus

  5. Carrot Cake
  6. Oatmeal Raisin Walnut
  7. Peanut Toffee Buzz

Combination 2

  • 10% of the RDI for Vitamin A, C, E, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, B6, and B12
  • 15% for Vitamin D and Iron
  • 20% of Calcium and Magnesium
  • And 25% for Phosphorus

The only difference from Combination 1 s that you get 15% for Iron instead of 10%.

This profile is found in the following 4 bars:

  1. Chocolate Chip
  2. Coconut Chocolate Chip
  3. Cool Mint Chocolate
  4. Hot Chocolate

 

Combination 3

  • 10% of the RDI for Vitamin A, C, E, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, B6, and B12
  • 15% for Vitamin D and Iron
  • 20% of Calcium
  • And 25% for Phosphorus and Magnesium

 

The only difference from Combination 2 is that you get 25% for Magnesium instead of 20%.

  1. Chocolate Brownie
  2. Sierra Trail Mix

 

Combination 4

  • 10% of the RDI for Vitamin A, C, E, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, B6, B12, and Iron
  • 15% for Vitamin D
  • 20% of Calcium
  • And 25% for Phosphorus and Magnesium

The only difference from Combination 3 is that you get 10% for Magnesium instead of 15%.

This profile is found in the following 2 bars:

  1. Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch
  2. Crunchy Peanut Butter

 

Combination 5

  • 10% of the RDI for Vitamin A, C, E, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, B6, and B12
  • 15% for Vitamin D and Iron
  • 20% of Calcium
  • 25% for Phosphorus
  • And 30% for Magnesium

 

This is the same as Combination 3, except you get a whopping 30% for Magnesium instead of 25%.

Only found in Chocolate Almond Fudge.

 

Combination 6

  • 10% of the RDI for Vitamin A, C, E, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, B6, and B12
  • 15% for Vitamin D
  • 20% of Calcium, Magnesium, and Iron
  • And 25% for Phosphorus

 

The only difference between this and Combination 2 is the 5% increase in Iron.

Only found in Iced Gingerbread.

 

Combination 7

  • 10% of the RDI for Vitamin A, C, E, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, B6, and B12
  • 15% for Vitamin D and Iron
  • 20% of Calcium
  • And 30% for Phosphorus and Magnesium

 

This is similar to Combination 5, except 30% of the RDI for Phosphorus.

Only found in Nuts and Seeds.
